The Alpha Jets of the Nigerian Air Force have killed 10 bandits in Sububu Forest in the Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State during Operation Diran Mikiya, as the bandits attempted to shoot down the military aircraft. FG to process mining licences in 15 days

The Federal Government has announced that it is decentralising the Nigeria Mining Cadastre Office for ease of operations, adding that this will cut down the time for processing licences from 45 to 15 days. EFCC arrests ponzi scheme operator who ‘defrauded Nigerians of N7bn’

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Babagana Dalori, chief executive officer of Galaxy Transportation and Construction Services Limited, for allegedly defrauding Nigerians through a ponzi scheme. The commission said 27,400 Nigerians lost N7 billion through fake promises of high returns on their investment in Dalori’s companies. Power generation in Nigeria collapses twice in nine days

The data obtained from the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing on Monday in Abuja showed that the country’s electricity grid collapsed twice in the past nine days. Figures from the FMPWH showed that electricity generation crashed from the 2,548.5 megawatts recorded on April 14, 2019, to as low as 18MW on April 15. World Bank loan portfolio in Nigeria now stands at $8.67bn, an investigation has shown. Loans from the International Development Association, one of the three arms of the World Bank, make up $8.55bn of the portfolio.
