Selena Gomez unrecognisable as she ditches dark hair for platinum blonde locks

Singer Selena Gomez was barely recognisable as she swapped out her iconic raven hair for platinum blonde in an image posted to social media.

Gomez has worn her hair in a dark brown shade for most of her career, but surprised fans with the switch up.

Thousands of fans commented on the post in disbelief, with one saying “Is this Selena?” in response to the brand new look, excitedly dubbing her ‘Blondlena’.

The picture was posted to the page of Gomez’s makeup brand Rare Beauty. She poses for a simple mirror selfie in a baggy tee shirt and rocking some funky nail polish.

She captioned the photo: “”New look. Need to pick new Rare Beauty lip and blush shades now.”
