A Twitter user has narrated how she found out she was an intersex woman.

Intersex is a situation where a person is born with reproductive genitals that don’t fit the boxes of “female” or “male’.

It is the term that a person may use when they have both male and female sex characteristics.

@desiree who hails from South Africa said she first realised the condition at age 20 in 2016.
