Local hunters continue to kill elephants in Ogun state as the 4th giant animal is brought down [photos]
Local hunters in Ogun state have continued to kill elephants as the 4th one in 2 years has just been brought down.
However what seems like good news to the local hunters isn’t exactly good news to the Elephant Protection Initiative who have shared a photo of the animal condemning the act.
The Elephant Protection Initiative while sharing photos of the animal disclosed it’s the 4th to be killed in 2 years in the state.
They wrote; “Sad. Near Omo Forest, Ogun, not far from Lagos, 4th elephant illegally shot dead in 2 yrs. #Nigeria’s few elephants – c400- fast disappearing. (Elephant shot by local hunter- those in pic not responsible)”
