Lady Who Was Denied Admission Into The University At Age 13 Becomes Nigeria’s Youngest Lawyer

A lady who was denied admission in Nigeria for being too young has been called to bar at age 20 making her Nigeria’s youngest barrister, The Barrister NG reports.

Esther Chukwuemeka was called to bar on Wednesday, July 29.

The Okigwe, Imo State, indigene completed her secondary school at the age of 13 and got admission into ABSU, but was denied admission because of her age.

Undetterred, her father sent her to India to study Law and she graduated in flying colours after which she returned to Nigeria for Law School.

Upon completion of her degree, she came back to Nigeria, wrote the bar final exams and was among the successful students.

She has now been called to bar as a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
