Governor Bumi mourns as 22-year old housewife allegedly poisons four step children

The Executive Governor of Yobe State and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni, has mourned four children allegedly poisoned by their stepmother in Potiskum town.

The Governor on Saturday through his spokesman, Mamman Mohammed, condoled with the family of Alhaji Haruna Ahmed, who lost three children in the incident with one in critical condition.

He prayed for Allah’s mercy on the souls of the deceased persons and prayed for their families to have the fortitude to bear the loss.

A 22-year-old housewife, Khalida Yakubu, of the Makara-Huta area of Potiskum town was yesterday apprehended by detectives for allegedly poisoning four stepchildren.
