Bandits Abduct Ex-Electoral Commissioner, Brother In Zamfara

Gunmen have abducted a former permanent Commissioner of Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC), Hon Sanusi Wanzamai Sanusi.

Eyewitness accounts said that he was abducted on Monday evening at Gidan-Giye village, along Gusau-Tsafe -Wanzamai road, few kilometers away from Tsafe town.

According to Daily Post Wanzamai was kidnapped alongside his younger brother.

The villagers said the former permanent Commissioner was trying to repair his car which developed problem while the bandits were crossing the road.

“They swooped on him and took them to their hideout inside the forest,” the source said.
