EPL: I don’t want egos here – Erik ten Hag issues strong warning to Man United stars

Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag, has warned the players that he will not tolerate egos in the dressing room.

The 52-year-old has been tasked with lifting the Red Devils from their recent struggles and getting them back on track after finishing the 2021-22 season without a trophy.

The past six years, Manchester United have not lifted the Premier League with the dressing room splitting and training ground leaks marring a disastrous campaign.

The Sun reports that ten Hag, who took over ftom Ralf Rangnick has already laid out his demands in a stern email to the playing squad.

He warned that he will not tolerate lack of effort or disloyalty.

A source told The Sun that the the Dutchman “sent the first-team players an email, telling them that football is a team game and no individual is more important than any other.

“His emphasis is all on the team — despite United possessing world class stars.

“He wants the players to train at a higher intensity so that each session is like a game.”

Erik ten Hag joined Manchester United after helping Ajax win the Dutch league last summer.

Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League last season and would be looking forward to a season great expectation with the Red Devils.
