Community Shield: Nunez, Salah score as Liverpool beat Manchester City
Liverpool on Saturday evening defeated Manchester City to win this year’s FA Community Shield.
Goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez ensured Liverpool won 3-1 against Manchester City.
However, Julian Alvarez did score for Pep Guardiola’s side at the King Power Stadium.
Liverpool will now face Strasbourg on Sunday in their last pre-season friendly tie at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will begin their 2022/23 campaign against Fulham next Saturday.
