Ogun Police Reacts To Claims 20 Persons Were Kidnapped At Kara Bridge

The Police in Ogun State have reacted to claims that 20 persons were kidnapped by bandits at the Kara bridge, along the Lagos-Ibadan highway.

Police said the news circulating across social media platforms is fake and a lie from the pit of hell.

While debunking what he called ‘the wicked rumour’, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said there was no single incident of kidnapping at the Kara bridge or anywhere along the Lagos- Ibadan expressway.

He insisted that those spreading the fake news were mischief makers, who always derive joy in causing unnecessary panic in society.

Oyeyemi urged members of the public to go about their normal activities, saying the Commissioner of Police had ordered 24-hour surveillance of the area due to the road construction work going on in that axis.
