Cristiano Ronaldo Struggling To Hire A £4,500-A-Month Chef

Cristiano Ronaldo has suffered a setback in his plans for life after football – with the former Manchester United star frustrated in his search for a private chef at his Portuguese ‘retirement home’.

The Portuguese forward completed a mega money move to Saudi Arabia last month and has penned a record-breaking contract with Al-Nassr.

The switch followed his explosive exit from Manchester United in the aftermath of the controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

He has already started getting his life together over in Saudi Arabia and has begun his hunt for a permanent home now underway.

In the meantime, the veteran is staying in a lavish suite at the Four Seasons Hotel based in the Kingdom Tower in the centre of Riyadh.

It is said that Ronaldo has booked into the hotel for a month with his eventual bill expected to reach approximately £250,000 by the time he checks out.

It remains to be seen when he will find his permanent residence in Saudi Arabia but his other property plans back home have been met with a little bit of trouble.

According to MailOnline, the Portuguese is attempting to find a chef to feed him and his family at his bespoke ‘forever home’ which is currently being built in Quinta da Marinha in Portugal.

Ronaldo purchased the land back in September 2021 and the mansion – which has been dubbed his ‘retirement home’ – is anticipated to be finished by June this year.

The build is expected to be costing the Al-Nassr forward £17m but despite that price-tag, the recruitment of staff has not been easy. He is reportedly on the hunt for a chef but the vacancy remains unfilled.

Reports in Portugal have claimed Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez’s demands for the chef’s specialties being traditional Portuguese food, as well as international dishes like sushi, are delaying the process.

There is reportedly a specifically designed area in the lavish mansion for the Japanese delicacy to be prepared.

It is said that Ronaldo is offering around £4,500-per-month for a chef but, as of yet, has not found anyone to take up the gig. While the search goes on, Ronaldo will be aiming to focus on his life in Saudi Arabia.

Despite having been confirmed as an Al-Nassr player nearly three weeks ago, the 37-year-old is yet to make his debut for the club.

He might not have to wait for much longer though with his side set to take on French giants Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday in a special friendly tie.

The reigning Ligue 1 champions will take on a Saudi Arabia All-Star side captained by the former Manchester United forward – a reunion with Lionel Messi potentially in the offing.
