UCL: So soft, weak – Paul Scholes blames three Man Utd players after defeat to Galatasaray

Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has blamed three Red
Devils’ players after their UEFA Champions League 3-2 defeat against
Galatasaray on Tuesday.

Despite leading twice, Man United lost to the Turkish giants
at Old Trafford.

While the attack looked impressive, defensively Erik ten
Hag’s side have been all over the place, with 18 goals conceded in their
opening ten games of the season.

However, Scholes was frustrated, particularly with how
Galatasaray’s second goal was scored, blaming Sofyan Amrabat, Victor Lindelof
and Andre Onana.

“United really had to win this, your first home Champions
League game. This is a terrible result,” Scholes said on TNT Sports.

“[Sofyan] Amrabat, look he’s not a left-back but he gets
done for the goal. It was so wide open.

“I’m not sure where [Raphael] Varane is going. [Victor]
Lindelof is lost in the middle of the pitch. So soft and weak. They were so
open in that central defensive area, they gave chances away.”

“We all know what the goalkeeper did. It’s just not good
enough,” the former England international added.
