BREAKING: INEC declares Umo Eno winner of Akwa Ibom governorship election

Man who tweeted against Gov Soludo, APGA arrested for cyber crime, moved to Abuja

Police in Anambra State on Saturday arrested a suspect, Nnamdi Chude, for tweeting against Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo. Chude, a fervent supporter of the Labour Party tweeted on Saturday, alleging that Soludo’s party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, was involved in the rigging of the House of Assembly election. BREAKING: INEC declares Makinde winner of Oyo governorship election

  Seyi Makinde has been declared the winner of the Oyo state governorship election.   The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was successfully re-elected in the poll which took place on Saturday.   Makinde secured 563,756 votes to clinch victory, while Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came second with 256,685 votes.   Adebayo Adelabu of the Accord Party came a distant third with 38,357 votes.   Makinde secured victory in 31 of the 33 LGAs in the state, while the APC won two LGAs.  …

Voting has begun at the polling unit of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, PU 085, Ward 3, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State at 8:30 am. Guber election: Voting commences in Ogun

Voting has commenced in Ogun State for today’s governorship and House of Assembly elections. Across different polling units visited by our correspondent in Ipokia Local Government Area of the State, it was observed that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived as early as possible.
