Abductors demand N500m for release of kidnapped Niger commissioner
Gunmen who abducted the Niger State State Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Sani Mohammed Idris have established contact and demanded for N500 million to secure his release.
Idris was reportedly abducted in his hometown of Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State around 1.00am.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor, Mary Noel-Berje confirmed the kidnap of the commissioner.
According to Noel-Berge, security agencies are on the trail of the bandits.
He was said to have been abducted in his house in Baban Tunga.
A source told the Nation that the kidnappers have reached out to demand N500 million for release of the Commissioner.
