The remains of 34-year-old football enthusiast, Emmanuel Samuel, allegedly killed by a policeman in Abuja have been buried amid tears, Punch reports.

The deceased, with his fiancée and friends, went to watch a football match on Sunday, July 11, when a policeman allegedly shot him after he cautioned the cop against accidental discharge.

He, however, died eight days later.

Emmanuel was buried at Television cemetery in Southern Kaduna on Saturday.

A candlelight procession was earlier held in his honour on Friday night.

The family had accused the Federal Capital Territory police command of holding on to Emmanuel’s corpse since his death but was later released to her family last Tuesday.
