To ensure safety, the Omani government has temporarily suspended work in five governorates, including Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, and Al Dakhiliyah. Employees in both public and private sectors are encouraged to work remotely if possible.

Rescue operations are underway, and all schools in six governorates, including Muscat, were closed on Monday due to the unstable weather conditions. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) provided updates on the situation.

Weather forecasts predict continued moderate to heavy rainfall in northeastern and northern Oman in the coming days. Authorities are urging residents to stay informed about the weather conditions and to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
