Almost 14,000 children k*lled in Gaza
Since the war began, over 13,800 children have lost their lives in Gaza, according to UNICEF.
Catherine Russell, UNICEF’s Executive Director, shared this heartbreaking news, adding that many more children are suffering from injuries and hunger.
A report from the UN Entity for Gender Equality revealed that a child gets hurt or dies every 10 minutes in Gaza. Shockingly, more than 10,000 women have also died in the conflict, leaving behind around 19,000 children without parents.
Tess Ingram, a UNICEF communication specialist, visited Gaza recently and was deeply moved by the sight of so many injured children.
She saw them not just in hospitals, but also on the streets and in temporary shelters, trying to adapt to their new, difficult lives.
